M301 Stirrer Control Unit

The M301 stirrer control unit is a motor-less stirrer that operates by generating a rotating magnetic field in the stirring heads.
The liquid is mixed by an immersed magnetised stirring bar, which is rotated by the magnetic field produced by the head.
The M301 offers great flexibility for use with different vessel sizes and types across a range of applications.
The variety of mixing heads and unique size make it particularly suitable for applications in which heads must be operated in fume cupboards or independently from the controlling interface.
The carefully designed heads are compatible with special sample holders commonly used in electrochemistry and spectrometric applications.
The range of specialised stirring heads can be used in water baths, further expanding the range of suitable applications.

Advantages over motor driven stirrers
The stirring heads produce considerably less electrical noise than motor driven type stirrers making them ideal for applications where sensitive electronic instrumentation is used to monitor the fluid.
No moving parts make the heads very reliable.
All heads driven from the control unit run at exactly the same speed.
The lack of any moving parts reduces the heat generated by the head, protecting the sample from any excessive heat incurred from a motor driven stirrer.
Oxygen Chamber Stirrer
Designed initially for use with the Rank Brothers' range of Oxygen Electrodes, it has since found a variety of laboratory applications thanks to its small diameter and independent control unit.
Rated IP68 for continuous submersion in water baths up to 10-50°C and 50cm deep.

Increase the controller's ability to stir more cuvettes by adding up to 3 of our expansion ports.
Each port facilitates 3 cuvette stirrers to be added to the controller, but each will use one of the control unit's ports:
